As members of Women United, we are a part of a national network of over 70,000 passionate/caring women in over 130 groups across the United States. We are dedicated to advancing the health and welfare of all children by giving, advocating, and volunteering.
Our Mission:

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunity:
- Represent United Way of Steele County, Women United at Community Pathways. First Tuesday of each month from 10:00AM -12:00PM. Staff a table and help to get families signed up for Bright by Text and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. (2024 spots are currently filled.)
- Touch up the paint on the Born Learning Trail at Lincoln Elementary. One date per month from 5:00-6:00PM. Sign up here.
Membership Benefits:
The Chair and designated members of Women United will have the opportunity to serve on the Community Investment Advisory Board (CIAB) of the United Way of Steele County.
As members of the CIAB, they review grant proposals for programs that serve children and youth in our community and make funding recommendations to the United Way Board of Directors.
Other Benefits:
- Quarterly luncheon series featuring speakers who promote members' health and development.
- Two social events annually.
- Volunteer service opportunities.
Membership Dues: $100*
Membership is open to anyone who identifies as a woman.
Membership dues are not considered a donation as they will go towards the costs of events, so members are encouraged to give to the United Way Campaign at a level that is meaningful to them.
*May be paid quarterly, and scholarships are available.
