Action Teams:

On October 28, 2022, we hosted our first Community Summit in response to the recommendations provided in the 2022 Gap Analysis conducted on behalf of United Way of Steele County by Cybele Consulting.  From this summit we created three action teams to continue the work as outlined in the recommendations.  Action Teams will meet a minimum of once per month to identify and/or develop solutions.  A Community Summit will be convened quarterly with all action teams to report out on the work that they are doing, any successes, and any challenges.  Participates in the summit will have the opportunity to meet with the other action teams to provide a fresh perspective to the process.  

On February 3, 2023, we hosted our second Community Summit where action teams made up of individuals from all sectors of the community came together to share their early successes, obstacles they are working to overcome, and next steps.  The action teams were introduced to the logic model and made a commitment to a program or project that could be completed within the next 30, 60, or 90 days.  

  • Affordable Housing Action Team - committed to working on Landlord Participation in voucher Programming.
  • Racial Division Action Team - committed to facilitating a BIPOC Community Listening Session.
  • Teen Mental Health Action Team - committed to facilitating Teen Focus Groups throughout Steele County.

On November 10, 2023 we will host our fifth Community Summit.  Grab and Go Breakfast will be provided.
